Dear Gent,

I am afraid your letter (53514/1/36) of 13th

November about Kai Tak Aerodrome does not carry us much

further.

A divergence of opinion as to the facts of the

case is clearly shown by a comparison of paragraph 2 of

your letter to me of October 30th with paragraphs 2 and 5

of the Air Ministry's letter to the Treasury of 1st October.

argument Moreover there is scope for further agreement even when the

facts are clear.

I hope you will agree that this question is

more likely to be settled quickly by a conference as I

proposed a month ago than a prolongation of semi-official

correspondence?

G.E.J. Gent, Esq.,D.S.O.,

O.B.E. M.C.,

Colonial Office.

Yours sincerely,

EE Bridges
